I feel like they could remake that whole movie from Chekov’s point of view.
The title would be THIS IS NOT MY JOB! and it would just be two hours of Chekov running around the warp core with his little goggles as everything goes to shit all around him.

It’s OK for an actor to completely turn his back on the longest running Sci-Fi franchise, which has a history of the lead returning, and maintain that attitude after the ‘offending’ persons had left the show, despite pleas from the succeeding production team, and hordes of adoring fans.
